As long as we’re paid, we’ll keep doing what we’re told. When dealing with these guys, any evil becomes a good paying job. If we put narc McIntyre back in Germany around 1942, and he says “We’re paid to go out every night to arrest these guys”, to whom would you think these guys refers to?
